December Prayer Letter

Dear Turners Creek Baptist Church,

Greetings from the Terry family. We pray that each one of you had a blessed Christmas. I’d like to take this time to thank each one that sent cards and Christmas gifts.

As we close the year with three prison revivals, the first unit was the Wallace Unit in Colorado City, Texas, which houses over 2,100 male inmates. Each service attendance averaged one hundred to one hundred fifty. Through the visitation in the dorms and the services each evening, we praise the Lord for the 4 inmates that trusted the Lord as their Savior!

The second unit we were in was the San Saba Unit in San Saba, Texas, which houses 600 male inmates. We had not been in this unit since before Covid. Before we got started with the first service, one inmate came up to us in the gym and said he would like to get saved, so one of our volunteers took him aside and led him to the Lord! Brother Art George, a 90-year-old preacher, preached the first service and several men responded in the invitation for salvation. Through the visitation in the dorms and services each evening, we praise the Lord for the 16 souls that were saved! When we had finished with the last service, the Chaplain came up to me with tears in his eyes and said, “I’ve never seen the spirit of the Lord move as I have in the last three days, please come back, we need more of this.” I scheduled two revivals in 2026.

The third unit we were in was the Ferguson Unit in Midway, Texas, which houses well over 2,000 inmates. This unit is known as one of the worst units in the state of Texas with three floors high and steel-bar cells, with one or two inmates per cell. We had over one hundred men in each service. Through the visiting cell-to-cell and services each evening, we had 11 professions of faith!
